Baatsonaa Total Services Station (the Station) is a family-owned and operated business which has been running successfully for almost 25 years now (as of 2023). It was established in June 1999 as Baatsonaa Mobile, at a time when its location on the Spintex road required faith and vision to discern its potential. The area was largely undeveloped, desolate, and even sometimes dangerous. Spintex Road was a long, often deserted road, with no traffic! Very different from its current vibrant, commercial, upscale renown.
With faith, vision, and an abundance of hard work, the founders opened the Station after working around-the-clock to set up the mart to critically acceptable standards comparable to fuel station shops anywhere around the world.
This was no mean feat in 1999. High retailing standards, quality product selection, and exceptional customer service in Ghana were not commonplace. These have been the watchwords of Baatsonaa Total Services Station from its inception, and they continue to be so today. The Station also pioneered an open policy, win-win relationship with its suppliers, boosting many small-scale entrepreneurs. Starting first with fuel and petroleum products, the focus was later shifted more towards the sale of FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) and that has grown to become the cornerstone of the company’s operations.
Currently, under the Maybek Services Ltd. umbrella, services have expanded to include the shopping mart, fuel retailing, a barbering shop, a beauty salon and spa, a Mobile Water instant refill plant, auto services, utility pay-points, mobile money services, and ATM installations. It is a one-stop shop for all your needs. There is also an ultra-modern shopping center in Takoradi, Anaji Choice Mart. Baatsonaa Total Services Station is now a popular landmark on the Spintex Road.
